I researched what popular photo editing apps look like. They usually have capture photo, video, and view gallery features to capture and look over the appearance. Then I determined the role of AI. The AI would retouch the appearance of the user. I decided the main challenges AI could help users visualize and started creating an experience out of it. The most important features are placed for easy reach from the thumb. There's also the *idea* button, where the AI would recommend a look to the user

Hey Shreya, great work and I guess JS Design's feedback says a lot. I'd just like to suggest a few things (and clarify a point perhaps) 1. How about you combine the hairstyles in one, instead of having 2 separate tabs for male and female. I believe in this day and age, no hairstyle is specific to men and women. Perhaps you can have them in one tab and sub-sections, based on hair length and styles like straight, wavy or curly. 2. On what JS Design was saying about the color palette, when we style our hair, they look much different than they do on the color palette. For example, I may apply select a peach color but I don't have any idea how that color would come out on the hair. So in all, to make things feel more real, I'm able to visualize what it might look like on my head. I guess that reduces a few steps in experimentation, I'm able to make my decision more quickly. 3. same goes with the hair styles, if I can see and actual person, or even an AI powered avatar wearing that hairstyle, I'm able to decide faster and with ease. With just the shape outlines, it'd hard to note, and I'll just have to try each one to see what it looks like. 4. Lastly, I'd just like to say that you have too many options going on the screen with 2 rows of icons. It seems when they're selecting the styles, they don't need to see the bottom layer, so perhaps you can turn that into 2 screens. It relates back to the Hick's Law, the more choices (in this case buttons) someone has, they more time it takes for them to make a decision and the more likely they are to feel overwhelmed and abandon the experience. Hi @JS Design, I think there's a difference in our understanding of the problem statement. Hair filters are not AI. Those options are only for customisation. The only relevant button is the idea button which shares AI suggestions. Again, as a non-binary myself, I think it would be kind of sexist to try to guess someone's gender. About your suggestion to save the image for later, it is a useful feature which I've implemented by providing the capture button. Thank you for writing so many suggestions tho

Hi Shreya! You have made a great effort for the solution. It can be difficult to find images for this kind of solution and probably photo manipulation can only help. 1st screen: It would have been great if you had shown original hair color of the woman in the picture. Hair color is not usually the color palette we use while designing or drawing, there are specific shades that can be practically styled. 2nd screen: As this is AI supported app, there should be automated detection of gender to reduce clutter while trying styles. If not automated then while choosing image there should be criteria to choose gender manually. 3rd screen: As you have shown the hair style selection screen, there should be one style selected and image of fourth screen can be used in third screen. 4th screen: I am not getting what that "tip" button has functionality here. -In bottom navigation I can guess there are option of clicking picture through camera or choosing through gallery, I am not sure what second button serves the purpose though! As image is already chosen to try new style from album/camera there should not be camera/album function in this screens it should be before selecting image. -Back button is missing in all screens and it would have been great to see home screen and then the rest of flow! Some additional functionality you can add: - saving the style image for the reference to show at salon - Seeing original style after editing just in a tap to compare if the new style looks better or worse. - UI can be better with the help of consistency in icons and alignments.
