All of this is based on my understanding of the question: First, I started by identifying who the potential user is, and their needs. From that, I concluded that the user would use this app to prevent losses or damages to their businesses by learning about the changes occurring at the global level. From the word ‘prevent’ I got the word ‘avert’ (like averting crisis). So, alert sounds similar to avert, and alerted things are usually shown in yellow/amber color. Hence, the color scheme is green (global) and yellow (alert).
