Aesthetics and functionality were both intertwined and interdependent in this week's challenge. After reading the challenge, I came across the website of I-India, a Jaipur based NGO, working for the welfare of street children. I felt their website albeit well designed, failed to display a call-to-action, which is vital to increase the donations they receive from visitors. Their work resonates with my core beliefs and hence I decided on designing a landing page for I-India with the sole purpose of grabbing the visitor's attention. The "Donate" button serves as the call-to-action on the page and has a bright red color while also being pointed by an arrow. The mission as well as the logo of the NGO are highlighted for clarity. A deliberate effort has been made to underline the plight of these unfortunate children while selecting the colors and images to invoke a sense of compassion. Below the donate button is a counter for the number of individuals who have donated creating a secondary impetus for the visitor to donate to the cause. This is the first design challenge I am attempting on crowwwn, I would love and appreciate your feedback! Thanks for viewing my design :)
