Children's Map Challenge

Hello Crowwwnians! I have completed this week's Children's Map Challenge, I have created a very simple and user-friendly design so children can access it easily and reach home. First, select the mode of travel like Walking, Cycling, Skating then simply click on go home it will show you the easiest way to go to the home. In any case, you want there to be an emergency there is an SOS button so you can connect with your parent. Thank You😊

Hey, y'all. Worried about your kids going out. Don't be. Here's an app that is specifically designed for your kids, to find their way home with just a click. I started this project by researching other navigation apps. This design is simple so that kids could easily find their way home. Parents or kids can save the location to their home using the 'add' option in the navigation bar so that their kids don't have to enter the location manually. Once a location is selected, the screen shows a live location with directions both on the map and in written form. There's also a 'call home' button so that when the kid feels lost, he could call his home with just a click.

Hoap ( Home + Map ) was made keeping in mind that the app is for kids, Therefore the color scheme and typography is such that it is calming and easily readable for children. The app allows users to reach their home destination with their desired vehicle. The app also displays past history and family contacts in times of confusion or danger.

My first submission for Crowwwn Weekly challange. Here I came up with a solution for "Children's Map Challenge". Basically, whenever a child is in the playground, he/she may not be aware of the root/way for their home. So they always needed an app that records the time of leaving home and guides them to their home while returning, with a simple map. Call mom feature for emergency purposes. A clutter-free flow that does not have unwanted features.

Have you lost your home’s route? Don’t worry! This app will allow you to reach your home safely. Once you start using this app you can easily navigate to its functionality to reach your home. The design of the app is very minimalist that allows you to see the LIVE PREVIEW of home routes or you can even switch to the SATELLITE VIEW. Since, live preview is much easier than satellite view, it guides you by showing the actual roads and humans, cars, buildings, etc. Also, this facility is added in it because children are not very familiar with the satellite view. The designing process was quite interesting. Thank You Crowwwn 👑 team for this challenge.

I did research and solve problems completely as per challenge criteria. On the first screen, you can see the start layout of the app when any student or child opens the app. In-app the 1st preference location is home set by default so they have to select home and click on the bottom button of "Take me home". after clicking on that button the second screen appears and they can find the direction on the screen to reach home. same if they want to go school from home then also they can do. On the second screen, I provide one contact option in which if they are confused about direction or map, then they can call their dad easily by clicking on the call icon. I hope you like my concept.

About the design - 1. The app is designed in a way to be easier for children's to use by keeping a simple interface, colorful visuals with cartoons and also taking a direct approach for any activity. 2. Parents can save routes into this app by putting in the location or tracing it themselves 3. The children can access any saved location from the home-screen and start. 4. Like google maps the app puts in live voice+displayed notifications about the route. It also provides a call button for emergency calls. 5. The best feature, if the app finds that the child has taken a wrong route or is standing at the same place for more than required, will display a caution and give the options for the child to call to any saved numbers and also send a alert to the parents. Hello everyone! For this week’s challenge I wanted to make something more interactive than a usual map experience. In the map blocks are shown by the color of the building itself, to catch it easier while walking. I wanted to include a coin (egg) system to make the kids obey the rules. For example through the zebra roads. Also there is discovery mode to make the experience more interactive. Kids are asked to give info about the buildings to be used later on. Of course If the block is blank when needed, info will be covered by database. Added shortcut to call chosen people in the case of need. There are few more functions I came up with but didn’t present. -Letting parents know when arrived on the spot. -Tracking kid’s location by parents -Parents setting max range, and getting notification when kid passes the range. So more like parents’ side of app. Thanks in advance.

For an app whose prime users are kids, it's important that the copy is kept as easy to read and understand as possible.

I did research on children map challenge, actually they need app UI to be very simple and easy to use so I have done this UI which makes children to reach home easily.

Hello reader, as mentioned in the challenge that a child will use this to navigate to home, I have used a concept of pinned locations. S/He can add marks or locations by pinning them and wherever they are they just have to select the locations saved to reach there. Also the UI is very basic to understand and use. This is my first UI design. Please give your suggestions for more improvements.

Hello, For this week's challenge, I have designed three screens for helping the children in finding their route way back home. In the first screen, the child selects his destination from available options that their parents set. The second screen shows the info about their destination, and the 3 one is where they find the directions, distance, and time they need to get to their home. All these screens are made simple, keeping children in mind. Drop a like if you love this concept... Thank you..🙏🙏

This application is to be designed for children, so I kept it as simple as possible. Added some important feature like, Parental control with which only parent can change/edit the information or home address. Home address is always pinned on map, and child can get way to home with just one click. Live location is always displayed on screen which makes it easier for child to know exact or nearby location, also there is option to share location, can be used when necessary. Voice search option is there to make search destination easier.

Children can customise a dog or cat avatar to use in the app as a guide. The application has an option to put star touch points onto the route. Every time the child picks up a star, the parent can set up to receive a notification on their phone.

Whenever the child leaves their home the parent or the children can switch on the live location tracking which then tracks the location of the child from home. The map also indicates the avg distance the child has travelled away from home. In case the wrong home address has been selected then he/she can change their home address accordingly which has been given at the top.

This week's challenge is to make a Map app for kids. Since Children of small age is the intended Users of this app, I decided to make the experience very clean and easier to understand with very minimal clicks. Once the kid opens the app, there will be a button to Navigate him/her to home. Once clicked, the real live location is shared to the Parental contact and the Navigation starts. The entire navigation process happens in a step- by- step manner; so that the Kid won't get intimidated by the instructions. The 'One step at a time' approach will make things easier for the understanding. Colors are chosen for easier outdoor visibility and to convey the priority instructions. This is my first Crowwwn challenge! :)

To solve this week's challenge, I did research on multiple map apps and came up with unique solutions where children can access the map in AR Mode which helps to navigate easily on the road.

With this app your child will never get lost again, they can get directions to saved locations in a click and their location is monitored by their parents. It will also show some safety precautions while crossing the highways or in heavy traffic areas.

According to my research, children feel more comfortable and confident while maybe travelling to a place if they are assisted or a guide with them, so I made a robot character assistant with simple map route which would lead to their home safely. Also, used playful color scheme with blue an yellow.

I have made an easy to use gps navigation experience. Save your important locations during the onboarding experience or later and use it to start navigation in just a few simple clicks.

This week's challenge was quite fun to work at. As we think of children, everything should be fun and engaging all the time. Keeping this in mind, I used bright cool colors & illustrations. The app is audio instructed as it's risky for children to look at their phones for instructions and follow the way. All the frequent destinations are already there, the child has to tap his location and the destination (in this case, home); the app will automatically show the way to the destination (audio instructed). As the child moves, the app also shows the movement of the child. Upon reaching the destination, the child is appreciated for following along the instructions. Overall the app is fun to interact with to keep the kids engaged. Thanks! :)

Hey guys, this is my first project. I came up with this simple solution: At the home page you can search for the place, or u can directly click your saved location, which will take you to the second page, where u can confirm your destination.After clicking the start button you beggin your journey. If u got lost or something bad happens, there is an option for calling your saved number.
