HeyAviral. Here is my feedback on your design- Why there are bookmark and share on add project screen.…..they don’t add sense there. Again you as per your design I could not comprehend the screen linking. How should I cancel from wizard there’s just way to step back. Verification of id and business doc, is also step included in publishing project that need to be highlighted. Hope it helps.

Exceptional work! I love that you've focused on UX, keeping the UI minimal! The design covers both the investee and the investor side of things. I see a lot of UX laws applied. Quick overview, hierarchy, and confirmation messages. Smaller details like bookmark button, use of tags, enable and disable states. My only suggestion is to add a confirmation window before making an investment or submitting a project.

You created this design from the investor's perspective, which is also an important part, but the core challenge What I understand is " invest in my idea in exchange for equity " Now the challenge here is what would be the value of equity? Because people are investing in Ideas, not in startups. What you think about this ? BTW keep it up !!

1. Crowdfunding as domain is really vast.. there are lot of details related to campaigns like story pitching format, other detail verification of business owner ID, and bank verification, setting up equity reward etc. each step has too be verified and evaluated before the final launch. Content pitching is the key for such interfaces after all your idea should build a trust and attract more investors. 2. So you should abide your solution with respect to problem statement adding other details and task flow for the campaign creation. 3. How your content is seen and affecting investor responses for that previewing campaign appearance before launch is must.. 4. These are data driven interactions need to be carefully handled and are more feasible over larger displays. - Hope this helps in improvisation. 👍

To me, this is just so great, you did more than what was asked for in the challenge, but yet you nailed it!

Hey Sushrita, Color scheme is pretty balanced and the hierarchy of information is organized. overall Ui is great. You come up with the solution and you also put up many other aspect like charity, volunteer and Donate. you done an amazing job but now this is more of social service app rather then the startup crowdfunding. it's more look like "Donating in startup Idea" rather then "Investing in startup Idea" There is no detail and system about exchange equity so the main challenge still unresolved.

Hi Sushrita, Thank you for contributing such a well-intentioned and public service oriented app! What a unique way to bring the stem of the prompt into something public/philanthropic and utility based towards crowdfunding. The details, the stories, the profiles and organization of the overall app is amazing. I love this idea and is so well mapped out. I would also add as an area of potential improvement is something that would have been very difficult to do - a real option of equity in something somewhere. The gift cards/heart exchange is a great option, and is more like a membership reward system, so I think to fully address the prompt it could have included perhaps stock in certain charity if one were to reach a certain number of donation - or something perhaps along those lines (truthfully, I am also not fully sure how that could be possible here - but if you have thought of this fact and could not find a solution please let me know/respond). Aside form that point, really its tough to provide anything other than positive feedback for this one. Great job!

Hey! Sushrita You put a great deal of effort on both usability and aesthetics. After comprehending the fundamental of the Problem Statement, I would advise adding something to the exchange for investment in the idea, such as equity, debt, a pool option, etc. If I'm wrong, kindly correct me. Hey Jeya, - As per your design it seems that you have just narrated initial flow for business owner, the main and crucial part over adding an equity as a reward is still pending, -Also your onboarding process is to lengthy and vast the initial steps for registration is stretching your onboarding rather give quick and fast onboarding further user can edit over information as needed per flow. - Also I could not link a flow since I couldn’t found descriptive labels matching flow. - The layout for basics, story, reward, seems that this would definitely increase the number of clicks rather divided it in simple wizard segregate information per step. About UI - -Though you have tried to use visuals that justifies business and domain, there’s lot of improvement over aesthetics. -Most significant quantitative on demographics and count should be prominently highlighted which is currently diluted due to text Color contrast -Flow the campaign and related content pitching is missing, also if I have to see my campaign preview before publishing I should be able to see it, after all we need to create trust of investors maintaining transparency over story.

This is more like a general investment app rather than a startup crowdfunding app. I'd suggest you to narrow down the problem statement. Don't worry much about the UI. While it has it's importance, this is a UX design challenge

Hey Anaya, Good try over design concepts and overall UI. Here are few suggestions from my end - 1. You hav segregated flow from the very initial step during registration from OWNER &INVESTOR 2.Why do we need to restrict the task flow bifurcation from the early step.. …..? I mean, Because if the business owner wants to invest again will have to join as investor. A business owner can be a investor as well and can raise campaigns though. so instead of dividing flow from the very first step, one can keep the flow generic. Owner can explore projects, if wants to invest can complete the requirement verification and process and invest in the same. Same goes with raising campaign for business. 3.Interaction for swiping left and right for projects as you are describing - for project campaigns, investor needs to go through the details and then decide wether to invest or not, adding swiping gestures in such scenario does not add to usability. It’s good to keep flow simple letting user open in new screen. 4.Swiping is more suitable for purposes where one makes decisions at glance/ visuals or information is minimum.. 5.Adding voice and video call features is good thought. But if the business is already lacking funds and crunches, hiring resources for such scenarios where they have to deal with investors in larger numbers, don’t add sense as feature.You can rather add an FAQ there. These where my perspectives in terms of usability and over all design concept. Hope it helps.

Hey Suraj Good Attempt to solve the problem, although the design can be improved in a lot of ways- First of all, I think you have got confused between a fund raiser(donation) and a startup fund raise. Why would you pre determine the price and the equity value for the investor beforehand? That's his/her choice how much needs to be invested. Here are some other things which needs improvement- 1. I don't understand why there is a slider in the 1st screen. I think that should be a progress bar, if I am able to interpret the meaning correctly? 2. Visual Hierarchy of the details page can be improved. There is no hierarchy to information in the startup details page. Why is price and equity font size bigger than the numbers? Why is the social media icons present upfront rather than more critical information about the startup? 3. I see a risk profile counter and I am not so sure how'd that work but the alignment of "32" and the graph is wrong. 4. On the last screen, the line height is too low which is making the text paragraph too conjusted and difficult to read (also since the black is too dark for small white text which is causing my eye to strain) 5. Lastly, you should improve spacing all over the design. Try to fit in information in such a way that it is easy to digest, especially when the information is too heavy, and important for someone who'd be investing.

Hey Lucky, I see a lot of progress in various aspects of your design like font hierarchy, spacing, padding, visual balance and hierarchy of the entire screen as compared to your older designs. Good work buddy. However there are a few places where there is still some scope of improvement: On boarding screens: - I loved the type of illustrations that you have used, there is lot of consistency in all the 3 screens. - Right now there is over use of green colour because of which it is difficult to identify which is the most important information. Try to use primary colour (green here) where there is actionable feature (here next arrow), so that there is clear focus on action buttons. - You can use dark grey for the heading and sub heading. - Arrow should be horizontally center aligned. - There is a lot of space after arrow and 3 dots, you can pull them a little downwards in line with log in button. Home screen: - Reduce vertical space between different sections in all the screens: space above search bar, space between search bar and banner with bulb. There is too much white space right now. - Search icon and mic icon have similar design language, a little differentiation in mic look would help it stand out. -What is the bulb banner indicating? Is it connected to start raising fund? If yes, then try to add button in the banner instead of leaving white space between them. - You can avoid using border around the "nature's design" card as it is making it feel old, instead the card can have white background with shadows to indicate it is clickable. Increase vertical space between text, right now card looks loaded with information. Increase the font size of the description text slightly, readability is a little low right now. In the progress bar, the slider should move from left to right. That is how we are use to see it. Instead of target on the left write "0" and on the right edge write the target amount and not the word target. If there are categories for each investment then category name should be displayed here as well. - You can also remove border around the bottom navigation bar to give it a cleaner look. Nature's design card. - Vertical spacing between section needs to be reduced as mentioned above. - Avoid making first letter of each word capital it hinders readability. Eg "Per Share Value", "Minimum Investment" etc - Decrease "Nature's design" font size and increase description font size. You can play with font weights at some places. - Left align "Per share value", "$115", "Minim..." etc with "term". - "Per share value", "Mini..." all the heading can be grey instead of green to reduce focus on those elements. - Under progress bar how many people have invested till now and till when can you invest information is missing. Start Raising fund screen 1 - Why is the age and mobile number of the person posting it important? - Company's name is missing, however I see company name in the above screens. Try to be more consistent with the information that you are showing. - Country name is asked in this screen which is missing on investment detail page. Start Raising fund screen 2 -"Category" should be main heading to maintain consistency as you have added main headings for "describe" as well as "photo". In category the arrow can be moved to right corner of the box to make it look more balanced. - "Describe", "Photo" words can be grey instead of green to decrease focus on those words. - Description (eg. add a banner for your investment) under the "photo" is missing, what kind of photo should I upload? That information is not clear. Start Raising fund screen 3 - There should be information about till when should the investment money be raised. Your file is in review screen - Why is verify bank account and document not a compulsory step? It should not say done on 3rd screen as unless the user has added bank account details funding cannot start.

Love the use of visual language! The investment side of things really looks nice but you might wanna add screens to 'start campaign' too

Hey Afe, I loved the UI, it looks so fresh and unique. I think you has slightly misunderstood the brief, it was not about donating the money but about investing money and getting returns in form of companies equity. The flow of creating a campaigning is also missing. Home screen -What does bookmark or save option on this screen do? -Start campaign button is looking like a CTA button on the home screen and is getting lost between the cards at the bottom. I feel you can use a different place for adding this option. Product details screen - Creative word's readability is very low as the contrast between the background and text is very less -Share button can be added in line with save button so that "donate" can be made bigger.

Appreciated your valuable time over feedback. Actually those navigation buttons are at top right and ideally are fixed as you can see in all steps they are at same location. Currently, if you can se at the right side panel , I have clearly highlighted the active tab, along with that the same Icon and related heading is used on top related to activated tabs. Heading Are narratives and part of content. 3d icons are grabs attention and are prominent.. Thanks again.

Hey Vaishnavi! Loved the fact that you have gone into the nitty grittys for starting a funding campaign online resembling all the documents and things that would be required during a On-Site pitch to investors. Loved the 3D stuff that is going all around the design. However these are the few things that I feel could be improved- 1. After you start to create a campaign, I didn't realise that there were 7 steps to do so. I scrolled down to the last question and then felt lost because I couldn't spot any button to navigate, only to see that the navigation button was there at the top in the top bar (where such form navigations are not usually present) Instead, either keep the navigation button to next steps fixed at the top or bottom so it is accessible at all times. And users should also be informed about how many steps are there in total and at which step they currently are at. 2. Even though the 3d icons look cool, I feel you should stick to plain icons because- The design would get much cleaner, with lesser colors and distractions, lowering the cognitive load. The left panel icons again have so many colors going on, definitely things can be improved in this area. Overall, great effort. Definitely solves the problem really well. Good Luck

Also, you are suggesting a subscription modal as a feature, I understand its significance in terms of retaining customers. Again aligning my design with respect to the problem statement I have narrated the flow which is "Idea of a business owner - In the form of a Campaign" While flow for investment is in terms of Investors which is the next stage after publishing the campaign. So for that Preview feature is added, where one can cross-verify the context in terms of other investor's visibility

Vaishnavi, hello! great work A clear, consistent, and straightforward solution. I would recommend just few add-on points that could increase the value for the user. While listing a campaign, we can reveal the precise equity or percentage. the average Backers investment or Per Backers Value also was added. I am aware that while the campaign was being onboarded, you were asking the campaign makers for the diluted equity ratio for each campaign. I would advise adding a subscription model so that each backer receives equal worth whether they subscribe to or invest in a firm. instead of a lower equity ratio. Hope that Helps! Cheers Bharath

But I understand your concern also that showing flows is also imparitive. 2. Oh yeah, I missed giving that info in percentage or other form in the above circular bars section . I only showed how much is raised yet, in the progress bars with the value but forgot to add what total figure is the target. Great catch! 3. The Investor will receive only the perks that will be listed in the card of each investing amount. You are right that I could provide more info on it. Again Thankyou ! Hey Abhisheak, I liked the idea and the information that you have tried to communicate here. There are few things that you might have missed: - It would have been better if you had shown how to create a fund raising flow. - How much is the total fund required and duration in which you want to raise fund that information is missing. - In deal terms, on how much investment will the investor receive Rs. 2000? How will receive Rs. 5000? Is it like if you invest more you learn more? That information is not very clear.

Hi Utkarsha, Navigating through the page with all of the crowdfunding projects seems difficult to a first time user. What if I am looking for specific projects or a specific problem? I would roll out a discover function (rather than just a search bar) that tracks users interests based on their previous investments and suggests other projects. I'd also add in a way for fundraisers to add a theme or category to their project. Maybe incorporating something comparable to youtube's hashtag and video tags would be better. The submit your idea page seems empty to me, especially when comparing that screen to what is seen on travelgo's page. How are they adding so much more than what is required. If this is because the process is broken up into 3 parts, then what happens when you condense the "submit your idea" form sections.

Hello Bhuvan Nice start to understand the problem as a spectator. i would appreciate the UI style .i have some quick suggestion to make ui more consistent & to the point & align to the problem statement. 1.Feed & news is not very much to add value at the same time, either add the Feed or Discover . 2. the bottom bar menu is not consistent across the screens . 3.make clear & Prominent CTA to highlight over the Pitches Screen, add Hierarchy to content for better reading, legibility for fonts. 4.state the equity data points along with Diagrams like How many Bidders, current valuation, what is min bid, max bid, how to pay. 5. Hey Emmanuel, I would like to give you few suggestions: - The brief talked about investment and equity in return of your investment, I think you have misinterpreted it as donation because of which you have not included the returns (eg. equity) that you will receive out of investment. - There is overuse of blue and red colour, screen feels overwhelming with lot of colourful elements and doesn't allow users to focus on the main action item. - In cards you can use a lightly lighter shade of grey than the one used in the background instead of white, blue and red. That will help users focus on the information on the card instead of background. - "Give your project life" and "startfunder" font type is not good, letter spacing is very low which is hindering the readability, try to use different fonts. Also why is there underline below "life", it is not required. - You can reduce the height of CTA buttons, the buttons look too bold. - Add labels in form. That can guide user by what is the information that needs to be filled inside it, it looks to blank right now. Start funder screen - Why is there a second empty tab besides "startup". You could have placed the word in center instead. - Instead of startup it should say something like create startup profile that would be more informative. I think it's also important to save the user's full name while creating account. - You can remove red background under "startup" word it can be displayed just as left aligned text instead. Home screen - "Hi John" can be left aligned it is looking very weird on right side. - Green and yellow chips are not required. Try to avoid elements which are not required it diverts attention from important information. - Dates are not readable, try to use a colour which has more contrast with the background. - In red card information about how much is the total investment required, how many people have investment till now and what is the duration is which the investment should be procured that information is missing. It looks very empty and boring as there is lot of blank space. - What does "explore campaign" mean? - Instead of adding image in the card background. You could dedicate separate space for the image so that the image is clearly visible and can make the investment category easily identifiable. There is no information about how much investment I have already received in each campaign, just the progress bar is not sufficient. - "Start new campaign" feels like a CTA button, it can be placed somewhere else where it is not confusing. Your campaign - "You campaign" text's font size is very less. Try to pull down the text and back arrow downwards such that it is vertically center aligned. - In project description, label text's font size is very less. - Left and right padding on the screen is not same as other screens. Try to keep padding consistent is all the screens. Project details screen - How will the app figure out which image needs to go as the main image? - Space between "Car battery.." and "Campaign info" can be reduced. - "Campaign info" text can be white as red colour text is used at the places which are clickable. - Again how much investment have you already received is missing. - How will I edit any details or delete the project that information is not clear. Donor home screen -You can use some other text instead of "give a project life" as that it the same text you have added on the previous screen. - Why is there a date under the "give pro.." it is not relevant. - Search bar is not visible.

Hi Himanshu, Lucky has made some very insightful critique and I stand by all of what they said. In addition I think your design is limited by what you think an app looks like rather than what the app actually needs to be. Why do users need a navigation bar AND the top right navigation icons. I want to see a medium contrast color, such as lavender, in addition to this very contrasting dark purple and white. The "discussion" page seems like it was very much drawn straight from facebook or instagram which in my opinion is not what I would want to see as an investor. With these small edits you could have a much better end product!

You tried to come up with a solution and it's great. - Illustrations in the first three screens are making no sense -In the first screen users have to enter their mobile number, in the third screen ( enter details ) again users have to enter their number ( adding the same details two times would be a pain for users ) - in the home screen - every type is in dark blue, and it's difficult to identify the important details - try to use neutral colors ( Black, grey and white) for type and use your primary color on CTA - There is only one startup and how the user is going to find another if they don't like this one, if they like this one how are they gonna invest in this? - There is no option for raising funds which is the main challenge " allow people to invest in my idea in exchange for equity"
