Affordable Gas Challenge

This was quite an interesting challenge to solve for. I first tried to figure out when would the user possibly use this app. While looking for gas stations casually and when the user is driving and requires to fill the fuel urgently. So, I thought, why not come with 2 different experiences for both the situations? A normal mode and a car mode. In normal mode, user can quickly switch in between "cheapest" and "nearest", set filters and look for gas stations. In car mode, the user can click on the mic button or say "Hey Fuel Mate" (for a hands free experience) to enable voice assistant and ask for anything related to the topic. But can the app auto switch in between normal mode and car mode? Ofcourse. If the app detects motion, it will automatically switch to car mode and vice versa.

Hello there, this week's challenge was quite interesting and really helpful in these times when gas prices are at their peak and still increasing drastically. First, I listed down all the requirements which are necessary to complete this challenge. After noting down the features, I decided to design a smartwatch app because the watches are handy while users are driving as well as I also wanted to get my hands dirty with watch app design. I have gone through high-level instructions which apple follows while designing the app for apple watch. Finally, after a few iterations, I come up with this design solution GasStop - "find cheap gas on one tap". Once the user taps on the green button, the app will find the nearest gas stations within 20 miles. The app will show all the gas stations in a list view as well as on a map view. Users can switch views by tapping on the list and map icon. In a list view, users have the flexibility to apply the filters like distance and the prices. on a list view, user can easily find the cheapest gas by the green color. On a map view, the cheapest gas station will be open and active by default. When a user clicks on any card, they can able to view more information like gas prices of different quality gas, price charts, etc. They can also direct to a gas station by clicking on the "Direction" button. Users can also report the inaccurate gas price by tapping on "report price". An input field will open up and the user can type the accurate price and report them. Maybe we can edit the gas prices on the backend via reviewing multiple reports. That is all about my design solution. It covers all the necessary functionality to find cheap gas. In most situations, users are going to use this app while driving the vehicle so that is the reason why the watch app will be helpful and handy. To solve this challenge I researched and came up with a flow which starts with detecting the location and then the app recommends the nearest available cheapest gas station, it gives detail regarding the cost, distance and wait time. Further you can also view other nearest station and filter them with availability of washroom etc. And at last you can get map based direction

I started designing with research. First of all, I empathized the user situation. when and how they arise and how they are described. This helped me figure out what information would be most useful for the user. Considering the user to be most probably in a situation where he wants to find a low costing fuel station when he is running less on gas, I have not added the login and signup pages because the customer will be in a tension and hurry and wouldn’t be happy sitting and wasting time logging in. I provided a function where the location is auto dected and the nearest gas stations with low fuel rates will be displayed, and also to view the fuel station individually the user can tab on the fuel ballons on the map.. Next, I made simple wireframes for convenience and proceeded to develop the design itself. I decided to add additional information i.e., the fuel costs itself so that the user can analyse with a single gaze and not having to tap multiple times. The gas price increases at maximum in various nations due to war and natural disasters happening in the world. Small advice to those people who are watching this design is please minimize vehicle usage for traveling so that we can save our earth. What is included in the design? 1. Fuel indicator 2. List of gas stations or petrol pumps nearby. However, the user can use a filter, and sort options available in the design. 3. Log - The user can record the details about the gas refill and stay updated. 4. Statistics - based on the record, the system will provide the overall overview of the price cost, refilled plot, how much money the user has saved, and a comparison between the market refill cost and total refill cost spent by the user. 5. here I put the user's experience on top so I went ahead with the help of the backend 1. when the user signup we ask some questions to the users which will help our backend to predict when the vehicle will be low on fuel (<30%) 2. app starts searching for the nearest and cheapest gas stations around the user's location when found the perfect option we send a notification to the user that you are low on fuel and there is a cheap gas station near you kindly refill 3 when the user takes action and opens the app we show the whole map and near gas stations with the price tag on the top ( of which type of fuel their vehicle use that we already asked in the questions phase when the user signup) 4 then users have 2 options whether they want to go to the one nearest and cheapest gas station chosen by the ai or user want to choose manually 5 If chosen by our ai & ml they directly get the directions of the gas station if chosen manually user goes to the second page where they can see photos feedback prices charts etc. and then go to the direction page and can go and refill easily thanks I hope you liked it feel free to criticize the design

Hello everyone. This is my first submission, a challenge to find nearby gas stations nearby that have a cheap price. I researched various inspirations from the real world inspirations. Then I developed my own user flow to make sure the process was simple and quick. Then I sketched out my screens, I made sure that a user didn't just have one option, but many ways to log in. I created Li-fi wireframes to make sure I could easily imagine alternative design solutions, and finally I created my Hi-fi design.

Hello there, I have designed a mobile application to find an affordable gas station nearby when the user is running on low gas. I started the design process with primary research with analysis and noted some pain points, such as the varying gas price of brands, displayed the cost-saving per metric and added statistics for how much user saved using this app. After primary research, I started with a wireframe and, after some iterations, ended with a submitted UI. **UI flow is done based on the view of existing app user.

Hello everyone, for the gas station challenge I started with doing a case study of the location apps/ maps already available in the market. I studied how the app works and what all features are necessary. To take things further I conducted a small research and interviewed 5-6 people about what problems they face. I tried to empathize with them and found out that the major issues faced include - 1. Not knowing when the fuel would end 2. How much more the vehicle would travel 3. Which petrol pump/ gas station would be cheaper, a nearby one with high rates or a one farther away with low rates. Going to the next step I tried to come up with solutions regarding the same and made a prototype which I then asked the same user group to review. They gave me some more suggestions and after aking the necesaary changes which time permited I came up with my design. Hope you like it. Feedbacks are most appreciated!

I started by surveying the target group of users who would be using the service. Based on the insights, I brainstormed features and primary requirements for the user. The app requires location access to be able to able to function properly and give relevant results. It shows a list of all the gas stations with their gas prices. There is a filter, search bar and sorting dropdown to get the best-desired result. The distance is colour coded in terms of proximity. The detailed section about the station has multiple station images, full details of the gas prices, amenities and reviews by other users. Users can also use the in-app navigation system to go to the desired gas station.

I started this challenge by getting myself familiar with the US community and how the gas stations work there (via secondary research). I talked to some of my friends and cousins there to clear up further questions (a quick little research if you will). I found out about other means people use to get by this problem right now. And found out gaps to fill in there. Design Choices and why--- 1. Guided Walkthrough - Instead of adding extra steps of onboarding questions (which was my initial idea) I went with a guided walkthrough instead, so that people can also see where they can change those settings later if they wanted to. 2. Mileage - I'm asking them for mileage of their car, so that we can get an idea on how much fuel it would require them to reach a particular gas station, and if it would be worth the trouble for a few cents. 3. Google Map Integration - Because if I'm looking for gas stations near me, I'd also wanna see where it is. It's a method that is convinient and that we're familiar with. (Google Maps is one of the top applications used in America) 4. Tips - Keeping in mind the goal of the user, which is to save money on gas, I've added a tips section. Further on these tips would show as notifications, every once in a while (but not too frequent, very targetted) I guess that's about it. Gas prices have been a problem on the past months. That's why I loved this challenge. This app would be helpful in so many levels, that's why I did some research on how people deal with apps that allow you to search for better prices in general. Most of them have more than one option of researching, so I decided to include some variations in my solution. Every gas station has a "page" that informs prices for all kinds of gas for the day, and you can also have your favorites listed, so you can simplify later by checking directly specific stations. I guess it would be useful. I've started studying UX a couple of months ago, so I'm not expecting any prize yet, but I'd really love some feedback :)

Hello Everyone, For this challenge I do research and I put so much hard work to do this UI. For user I keep very simple and easy to use interface and only 3 screens. I remove very unnecessary element in UI and made it very simple so user can easily use them coz it's important that you only put good and effective elements but if your design is not easy so user obviously not use it. I made my UI easy and simple with pinch of effective elements.

I did research about what types of gas are sold in gas stations and interviewed some of my friends who drive gasoline cars. Here is the question I want to solve in UX design: 1. See all nearby gas station prices in a straightforward way. 2. It is easy to select a specific gas station to know detailed information and can save them as a frequently used gas station. For UI I want to make it user friendly especially when people are driving. So, I: 1. Less the information content to be simpler and clearer. 2. Color contrast is user friendly.

Fuel Shark helps drivers find the most affordable gas stations near them by using their location, and filters. One can sort by distance, fuel type and/or rating. When a location is selected, it will take them to a details page about the specific location where the user can view prices for various fuel grades, the last time prices were reported, ability to report the prices, favorite or stations, and more.

Hi Folks✨ My suggestion is a solution for car multimedia. The user initially needs to select the type of fuel. Or they need to find a gas station in a short time or a short distance in an emergency. In the second step, they will get a list of gas prices from low to high, They could choose their preferred brand❤️. In the end, they get a more finely filtered list. a final list of different distances and prices based on the type of gas&brand they choose. In the DailyGasNeed mobile app, users can find their nearby gas station and the details of the station such as the address, fuel price, and opening hours. First, I tried to understand the user's mental model and their needs. Then I make design decisions according to their needs. Here users can book their time slot according to their preferred time, and can pay before or after refueling.

Hello i started this app by researching about gas filling process for cars, then i searched about pain point of gas car user and tried to design an app which people can use easily, i tried to put accessibility, usability and interaction together in this app so that user must feel good and connected to this app.

I conducted research on gas station apps in order to save users money. I made the app simple to use and displayed distance differences in time rather than kilometers to help users understand how long it will take to get to each location. I also gave them the option to select the type of fuel they were purchasing.

Hi! Here is my solution to this week's challenge, I tried to keep it simple and easy to use. I conducted research on the aspects that a GAs APP should have in order to assist users. First You have to sign up and then select your car. And you will get the list of nearest gas staions. there you can select if you want to watch cheapest gas stations. and I've also putted monthly chart of the car's fuel use. When we talk about fuels for our vehicles, it is not always about finding the cheapest gasoline but also having to think about the suitability of the type with the vehicle's engine. It's not just about the differences between engines that run on gasoline or diesel, but also about the differences in research octane number (RON) and cetane (for diesel). To get optimal combustion and reduce scale on the engine which can reduce fuel efficiency and cause damage in the long term, vehicle owners must understand what type of fuel is most suitable for their vehicle. The design helps users to find out what type of fuel is most suitable for their vehicle based on the type of vehicle, brand, type, and year of manufacture. To make the search easier, users are also able to enter their vehicle registration number, so there is no need to fill in information one by one. After knowing what type of fuel is most suitable for the vehicle, the user will be assisted to find out which brand of fuel is the cheapest, the description of the product, and where is the nearest gas station that provides that type of fuel. For the UI, I use blue as the primary color and use the brand color of every gas station, both it's primary and secondary, to help users understand what the brand sells that type of fuel.

I conducted research on the essential elements that an app aimed at informing users about low-cost gas should have. With the results in hand, I began developing the app, focusing on usability first. I chose colors that would appeal to my core demographic. I made certain that people could sort through the available gas stations using the appropriate tags, such as fuel type (whether regular, mid-range, or premium), as well as sort by distance or price. I also color-coded the fuel types to help customers identify which category they were looking in. Finally, I included a map that allows users to navigate to their preferred gas station while also displaying other data metrics such as estimated arrival time.

For this week's challenge, I wanted to create a gas finder with a minimal but fun design. I wanted as few screens possible while giving the user all the relevant functionality. By default, it searches for the best price around you, but you can sort by nearest or cheapest as well. You can also select which fuel grade you're looking for, amenities, and wether they accept cash/card/both. There is also a bookmark functionality so they user can save their favorite gas stations. I wanted a fun design, so the prices to look like old school number flipper while being color coded depending on the price in comparison to other gas stations within a certain mile radius. For this week I did some research on some Booking app. I looked for inspiration with similar kinds of apps. Then I made this design. I have made screens where one is for Home. Then, the rest screens are navigate through the app. Second menu is the Map in the Navigation Menu to view current location of user as well as the nearby Fuel Stations. In third Menu User can view offers that are available to get while refiling fuel/gas/battery recharge for their vehicle. In the fourth Navigation Menu, User has wallet option to quick top up for instant payment and many other options too. In this page user can Top up his wallet account, pay for fuel in the station, view favourite contact in transactions, history and many more. In Search Screen, User can search as per their required nearby station with Sort and Filter by the given options such as Price, Availability, Categories, Waiting Time, Offers etc. User can view nearby station in map screen and by selecting the particular station and available pump in the station one can instantly buy fuel. I solved this week's challenge by simply asking family members and friends who have cars about this issue. After asking around, I made the design with the following features: - View the national gas price average - The price of gas in the user's location - Choose what type of gasoline out of 4 - Know the location of the closest gas station - Approximately how long it will take to get there - Set current location and destination

I started solving this problem by looking at some gas station apps and seeing what they had for location services as I knew that would be one of the main features. After flowing out the main task of searching for the nearest gas station via location services I then jumped into the other features that a user may want to include. Such as amenities or being able to filter if they have a gas discount or membership cards as well as preferences to select. I used a name generator for the application and then created a brand and style guide for the final results.

Gas refill challenge is real due to its availabilityin local and prices are not stable in daily basis. So, its availability creates demand so here Gasoni helps you to find right availability in market with fair prices and many coupon offers everytime.

I tried to focus more on UX and the process they need to take to solve the problem statement than the UI. Designed particularly to be used while in a car with the main agenda being to reduce cost and save money.

This is simple UI for searching near by gas station with just one click. You can also check how's the gas station or also choose by reviews & ratings.

To solve this week's challenge, I did some basic research get inspiration from dribbble and behance and actual live apps. I have just started learning UI/UX and want to improve my skills. I'm willing to learn new things in this so your feedback important and would add value to my knowledge.

While opening the app user is being asked what kind of fuel he needs and in which gas station he is interested: the cheapest or the nearest. Then the app is showing the best gas station. When the user tap on the petrol station icon, the details of the station appear. Then the user can use the navigation option in order to get to the station.
