Hey Indranil, hope you’re well! I feel your design perfectly meets the design challenge this week. The home page instantly tells me where I am, how long till my next flight and how I can spend my time in the airport. No unnecessary steps, perfect! The bright tabs separate each POI nicely however these colours are not utilised in the other pages. If the map showed me colour-specific dots, I would instantly recognise which locations were Gates, Charging points etc. Or as Hrithik mentioned, to have monochromatic tabs with a coloured logo only. The food & drink section has limited information on the home page, but as you commented, another page with detailed information could be added. The option to switch between AR and 2D map is super helpful and gives a clear route to nearest POIs and gate. Overall I think your design is consistent and great use of grids and whitespace. Only other thing I would suggest is to increase the size of the small text slightly so it is more accessible. Well done and best of luck with the competition. Look forward to seeing more 👌

Hey Hrithik, thank you for such a detailed feedback. I do agree on your first point, I do feel I overdid the colours a bit. Making them a bit subtle would've been a lot better. For the second point, the reason I didn't put more info is because these are famous brands that almost everyone who goes to an airport would know and another page could also be added which shows detailed menu of the shops when users's tap on the card.

Hey Indranil! Your work looks absolutely gorgeous🥵😍. I liked that you can switch modes in airport map, so you can get a bigger picture of what's around along with the option of searching for a particular place. On the 1st screen, I think there is a lot of colors happening which is making me get confused what I am actually looking for. I think you can make the 4 color buttons a bit subtle. I think the different colored logos would do the differentiability that you expected it to do! Also, in food and drinks, I would love to see a bit more information on the cards so that I can decide if I am going to even consider that place or not! And I think instead of "starting at " you can put "a meal of 1 costs ". Everything else looks top notch! Good Luck :))

Overall Design is great but there is something you can improve on the first screen you have added a search bar for entering your airport I you can remove that because the app will automatically fetch on which airport he/she is and you can also add his/her tickets so he/she can show if this is any problem user lost his tickets so can show on mobile, one most important this is not clear on this app from which terminal user will get the next flight, the second screen is good if we talk about only UX but you can improve UI on that you can also add some boundaries give some alert that doesn't go far form this area otherwise it's hard to get back on the terminal on time talking about the third screen is nice but in the bottom instead of on Popular Search you can add the same reference like Pizza Hut, Domino's because if user click on the Mcdonalds it means the user is looking for food so the show is the same reference like food restaurant talking about the fourth screen is most important you have don the great job adding AR so users can go and find anything thing easily without asking anyone else these are the thing I think you can improve but overall design is good simple to use and user-friendly Thank You !

Hi Aman, well done on this weeks challenge, I feel you have created a great solution to the problem with an easy-to-use interface. Your colour palette works well together and is consistent throughout the design. The onboarding screen quickly allows the user to input their connecting airport without the fuss of needing to know their flight detail, this can be a huge benefit if the user has been on a long journey and their flight details are tucked away in a bag or lost in their emails. From the home page, users can search their desired location or quickly access lists based on the challenge’s 3 user problems - the location of their gate, where to get food and the toilet. I like that there is a Popular Search list, as the user might be unsure of what restaurants are available to them in a foreign airport. A suggestion would be to have the popular searches as a carousel instead of a list - as it could become repetitive scrolling past popular terminals & POIs to find your terminal that’s at the bottom of the list. I think there is potential here to add the distance at a glance so the user doesn’t need to open a POI to see how far away it is. You could also add an overview map, so the user can see where POIs are around them before navigating to them. On the details page, the carousel provides an opportunity to show off the restaurant interior and menu items. The rating is good addition, as the user will want to be reassured of how well the service is. Detailing the estimated time and distance is another bonus to help choose somewhere convenient to eat. For me personally, I have difficulty with the text size in some places, such as the ‘minutes’ / ‘m’ and the category names underneath the POIs on the previous page. If this was a size or 2 bigger, it would be a huge benefit to visually impaired users. From here the user can access directions that highlights POIs and the route through their camera, this prevents the user getting lost or confused by a 2D flat-lay map, a clever idea! Looks really great, especially the AR idea. However, I agree with Saily on the location of the back button. Also, you have said that GPS location permissions haven't been given to the app, then how will the app know our current location and determine the distance to it, without first knowing our surroundings (i.e. in the 3rd screen). Nevertheless, looks amazing.

Thanks @Saily Natekar for giving such a great insight on my submission. Okay to answer that adding similar places rather than popular places is a great suggestion. My thinking behind it was that for the first timers popular search could give them a idea of most visited places and that's also the reason I have put the places-screen as screen after inputting airport. So for the auto detection of the airport, it would be done when someone gives access to GPS, though I haven't a dedicated screen for it but will definitely add it in prototype. Putting back on right side, According to me is wrong but this thought clicked me after reading your comment 😅. Thanks again✌️✌️

Hey Aman. Overall it's a really good design with a great thought process! I liked that we can navigate to a desired location using AR and brownie points on this that you get signs that there are other POIs too that we might be interested in going to. I liked that you can even see the total rating of a particular place as well. I can also see that users can find Popular Searches on the same screen as well, which I think may not be suited for that screen. Instead, I would like to see similar places to it because now you know that I might be interested in having some food. Makes sense? I am also wondering if the screen with the search box is the very 1st screen after you enter your airport? If yes, how will I get to know what places exist inside the airport for me to discover them? So, you can improve on that part too. Coming to the first screen, does it also auto detect what airport I am currently at to reduce friction in the process? I can also see that you have put back navigation on the right side of the screen which I feel would limit the familiarity for a user. Visually, you have done a great job, looks fresh. But I think you can improve a bit on the colours part too. Good Luck for this competition.

Really liked the plan user friendly design and the creativity in the AR screen. UI grabs the attraction of user and seems to be made with grid principles and minimalist color schema!

Hello Khushboo, frankly speaking, I don't like your design because nothing is clear in your design. The design needs to add some visual elements so users can interact with it as a design I don't focus on your single page so how users can. Now talking about UX it's really nice you have added all basic and useful things on the home page I really like that overall your UX is great but you have to improve UI I think. I know it's a UX design challenge not UI design challenge but think about it to improve UI Thankx

You have covered most of the pain points, my suggestion is to not directly show the map view, instead show these in a list view with how much time it will take to reach out to that place. And one more thing use the nude color palette. Else you create a good design.

Thanks, Yash for your valuable feedback, You and CHIGILIPALLI are correct about the back button position as per standard practice. I was just experimenting(and needed feedback on the same) because personally, I find it difficult to press the back button in TOP left if I am using it with my right hand(as I am right-handed). I was just checking that users like me have that issue or they are more comfortable with the normal practice. And your suggestion about highlighting important things is very helpful, I will surely take that into consideration.

Your design looks the best among all, considering it is to the point, and easy on the eye. The colour scheme looks amazing, with all the views of the map. However, I am not sold on the position of the back button. The back button should be on the top-left side of the screen as it is the standard in most apps, especially those in iOS. Also, I somehow feel that the Boarding Starts timer is a little weird. I feel if you wanted to give it some attention, it should've been centered, and if not, then the larger size of the 48Min throws the user off a bit.

I love the colors, the easy to get around interface. I saw the prototype it is good. But i agree with Chiglipalli, maybe the back button should be placed at the bottom on the right side of the app. It is more natural to me to go back pressing on the bottom right corner, maybe it is habit i don't know. Great idea i like it.

Hi, Anup thanks for your feedback. Kept those icons on the top purposefully because they are not menu options, they are just a quick search option so kept it below the search option. (and the search option is supposed to be on the top right) Secondly, if I had kept them at the bottom then the map will be less accessible as the whole map will slide up. Thanks

I think you should have added the icons at the bottom of the page for better accesibility and viewing of the map . The fingers would block the map and making it harder to hold in between the hands

I also like the hierarchy, but i think even though i get the idea of black background ( it gives luxury) i would go with something a little lighter or put a little more color pop. I like how all the categories are detailed. Keep up the great work. Love this.

Excellent app interface . Love the visual heirarchy

The colors selection is really good, it gives a trustworthy feeling, also the AR screen is really good, especially upper scrollable tags would really help to navigate through different places from one screen. One improvement that can be done according to me is Giving an option to the user to type and search the location he wants to go to, as searching it on a map is very difficult for first-timers. Rest keep up the good work.

I love the colors of the design they look luxurious but not too dark. It is clean design with a clean and easy to use interface. I like it. Keep up the great work.

Hey Parth. First impressions, super clean work! Good Job on that! I can see good use of gradients, color palette, good readability of text(except some places) with good spacing, and good work on the visual part overall. On the 1st screen, I can see you have a big header text. I don’t see it having much of an impact for the amount of space it is taking off the main screen. You can also increase the size of the buttons of hamburger menu, search box and profile menu, otherwise it would be difficult for the user to click on those important buttons. I can also see that the user will have to enter the ticket no. But does it have any onboarding screen for the user to understand where he would land inside the app (Pun Intended) if he puts the number? I love that we can explore different airports without even being close to those airports so that I can plan travel in advance! Talking about the 2nd screen, there’s a lot I would like to suggest! The card which shows the trip details can be improved. You can add on details like flight name, landing time. I also see you have used an icon of landing instead of take off. You can also improve on contrast levels of the card. I was having difficulty reading the text on it. Gong below, I like that you have segmented the overall process into pending and completed. I would suggest that you put less emphasis on the completed process, you can make the box for it smaller and maybe a green color around it or a tick mark would give me a sense of belief that this is done, and I can move on to the next part. Adding to this, as a user I would like to know what would be the action if I pressed on the big blue button before even pressing it. So, you can add a small “Navigate” button to it and maybe turn those big buttons into small space efficient buttons. You can also make the bottom navigation bar icons alignment better. On the 3rd screen, I would like you to explore more colors for the buttons to maybe add some imagery cards for differentiability. And again the same suggestion, make the buttons space efficient so you can use the extra space for something else. Overall I loved the design! Hey Trivedi Meet, I am super impressed by your work and the way it looks. I love the colours, love the palette that you used and the typography and imagery too. 10/10 for the visuals. Talking about the 1st screen, i,e Selecting the airport, I can see that there are two options from which I can choose my location. I can drop a pin to my exact location inside the airport so that I can find places quicker which are actually close to me if sorted with distance and also enter the airport name so I can see all the places that are inside the airport. Loved it. Coming to the 2nd screen, I see that you have added comprehensive texts up top, good job on that! Users can have some context before going ahead using the app. I love that you can have places sorted by different tags that you can select along with having the search bar. One change I would like to see is to make the sub text in the card bigger otherwise the white bg and small grey text is gonna hurt my eyes. Also you can change ‘3 mins for’ to something like ‘3 mins away’. You can also try changing the card’s size into half as most space is not being used efficiently so it would reduce the scrollability for a user. Coming to the 3rd screen, I see you have added the same kind of cards as on the home page. How would the screen function differently from it? Also I would love to see a search bar along with some filters on this screen too. Also on the cards, I see a very small button assuming its for navigating to the place. I would see a lot of misclicking happening, the user might want to open the main card but instead click on the navigate button. You can either position the button in a different place or remove the button in front the card and let the user open the card and then navigate from that window itself. Everything else looks good. Hey Goutham! I saw your work featured on Crowwwn’s IG earlier today and just wanted to say well done! I love your onboarding colours and use of emojis. The option to set an alert is a fantastic idea and would be super helpful to travellers that might not be keeping an eye on the time. Your results page gives me enough information at a glance make a decision on where I would like to shop/eat/drink. You could potentially add in distance information here so the user knows how far it is from them. The details page has a great amount of information however I think there are too many images. This could be replaced with bullet points on type of dietary options that are available, distance, rating. The gate information is clean, informative and the flight details are a bonus! However, if I close this page, how do I access it again? I feel this design meets the design challenge requirements, though for future challenges I would recommend increasing the smaller text sizes and the page margins so the containers are not so close to the edges. I would also like to see the colours on the first page brought into the other pages more to give it brand consistency. Well done and look forward to seeing more from you 😄
